One of the greatest privileges of being a financial advisor is the relationships I build with clients and their families. I’m honored to share in many of life’s most meaningful moments and milestones—and I’m equally present during the difficult times. Those moments matter just as much.
With nearly 25 years of experience as a financial advisor, my approach is shaped by a career that began well before I entered this profession. Prior to financial advising, I served as a CPA, Controller, and President of several firms. That experience instilled a disciplined, analytical mindset and a strong respect for proven thinking, sound process, and thoughtful decision‑making, principles that continue to guide my work every day.
When I’m doing my work well, I’m fully aligned with the entire family and their trusted professionals—trustees, executors, estate attorneys, CPAs, and tax advisors—working collaboratively to bring clarity, continuity, and confidence to every stage of life. At Potomac Financial, we build long‑standing relationships with our clients—often spanning years and generations.
My commitment to sound, trusted advice is personal. After my grandfather passed away, my grandmother was left with significant assets that were later eroded through excessive trading. That experience left a lasting impression and continues to guide my focus on disciplined stewardship, advocacy, and protecting clients’ long‑term interests.
I provide comprehensive planning for individuals and families, with a focus on retirement planning, strategic asset allocation, risk management for families and businesses, and integrated estate planning strategies. My goal is to help clients make informed decisions with confidence, supported by discipline, experience, and care.
My wife, Lori, and I divide our time between Fairfax, Virginia, and Kilmarnock, Virginia, along with our young, adopted yellow lab, Sunshine. We enjoy spending our free time with our families and friends and staying active through travel, hiking, golfing, and boating.
